Degenerate Star as a name applies to both the website and myself. I'm not interested in a separate alias at this time, and I'm currently in an era where I don't share my full name on the internet.
I don't actually know how to welcome people to a space on the internet anymore. It's a language I've lost, like I lost French before I turned ten. I've spent a long time confined to a state where I only exist, awkwardly, begrudgingly, within spaces constructed by corporate entities where no one person has a space. A standalone site is the only way I have ever felt fulfilled on the internet, but I don't know how to do that anymore. If the site feels unfocused and confused, that's because it is. More than that, it's that way because it can be. There's no investment in the site beyond my paltry yearly contribution to Porkbun, so presure to cohesively brand and pen in the site is nil. It will probably change a lot.
